Users may receive outpatient assessment and treatment from Clinical Psychiatry, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy, Psychology singly or, more commonly, as part of a multi-disciplinary package of care under the enhanced or standard care programme approach (CPA).
We see patients, as far as possible, where most convenient for them. We seek to offer a response appropriate to the level and nature of presenting need, for example sometimes assessment and advice, sometimes a relatively brief intervention: often more continuing ongoing care.
All outpatients management takes place under the service frameworks of the community mental health teams (CMHTs). Access is through the single point of referral given above.
Optimising communication with primary care is regarded as a clinical priority. We are committed to accessibility, are fully compliant with choice booking and are determined to promote care that can meet the diversity of Hounslow and place users at the centre of their choices.
Who the service is for:
This service is for people with potentially severe and enduring mental health problems, normally resident in the London Borough of Hounslow, aged between 18 and 65.
Via their GP, or any other agency by fax or telephone call to the telephone numbers above (Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm).
